Welcome to The Sat Store (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, satstore.shop (“Site”), and any related services, including email communications, educational content, in-person events, and the purchase of products. By accessing or using our Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our Site and services.

1. General Use

The Sat Store provides access to the following:

  • Educational content about Bitcoin and related technologies;
  • Email signup forms and event announcements;
  • An online shop where customers may purchase physical products.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of maturity in your jurisdiction) to make a purchase or provide personal information.

2. Payments

We accept payments via Bitcoin over the Lightning Network only. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are authorized to use the wallet and funds used for payment;
  • Lightning payments are final and irreversible by design;
  • We do not return funds in Bitcoin. Approved refunds are issued as store credit in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy.

You are solely responsible for verifying invoice details, wallet configuration, and payment accuracy. We are not responsible for user error, incorrect invoice payments, node issues, or wallet malfunctions.

3. Products and Availability

We strive to accurately describe products and maintain up-to-date availability, but:

  • We may modify, discontinue, or update products at any time without prior notice;
  • Prices may change without notice;
  • We are not liable for typographical, listing, or pricing errors.

4. Educational Content Disclaimer

All educational materials—articles, guides, videos, and related content—are provided for informational purposes only. Nothing on this Site constitutes:

  • Financial advice;
  • Investment or trading recommendations;
  • Legal or tax advice;
  • Professional guidance of any kind.

You are solely responsible for your own decisions and compliance with local laws.

5. Events

We may share information about in-person or partner events. Attendance is voluntary. The Sat Store is not responsible for any damages, injuries, disputes, or issues related to participation in third-party events, which may be governed by their own terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site—including text, graphics, logos, photos, and educational materials—is owned or licensed by The Sat Store and protected by copyright, trademark, and related intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

7. Privacy

We value your privacy. Personal information submitted through the Site is used only to deliver products, send updates, or contact you regarding your order. We do not sell or share your personal information except as required by law. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • The Sat Store, its owners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, our products, or our content;
  • Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the product(s) involved in the claim.

Bitcoin and Lightning transactions involve inherent technological risks, including volatility, network congestion, delays, and node interoperability issues. You acknowledge and accept these risks when transacting with us.

9. No Warranty

All products and content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as described in our Return and Refund Policy for damaged, defective, or incorrect items. We do not guarantee:

  • The uninterrupted or secure operation of the Site;
  • The accuracy or completeness of product descriptions or educational materials;
  • The suitability or reliability of any product for your specific use.

Additional terms apply to Circular Goods, as described in Section 10.

10. Circular Goods

We sell new-old-stock, pre-owned, restored, and salvaged items (“Circular Goods”). Each Circular Goods listing identifies one of the following condition categories:

  • Mint – Brand new and unused.
  • Vintage – Pre-owned and at least 20 years old.
  • Secondhand – Pre-owned and in good, gently used condition.
  • Restored – Cleaned and repaired to like-new condition.
  • Salvaged – Recovered parts or materials.

Condition categories and listing descriptions reflect our own assessment and inspection. They are provided to identify each item and describe its general condition. They are not a promise of how an item will perform, a certification of safety, or a guarantee of fitness for any use.

Condition and history. Except for Mint items, Circular Goods are previously owned, and their full use, storage, and repair history is generally unknown. They may have wear, damage, or defects that are not visible or detectable by inspection. Vintage items may not meet current safety or performance standards, and materials such as textiles, rubber, plastics, and adhesives can degrade with age.

Mint items. Mint items are new and unused but may be older stock. Any manufacturer warranty is provided solely by the manufacturer, if at all, and may not apply to items purchased from us.

Restored items. Restoration consists of cleaning and repairs performed to our own standards. Unless a listing states otherwise, Restored items are not refurbished, re-certified, or endorsed by the original manufacturer.

Salvaged items. Salvaged parts and materials are sold for repair, reuse, or creative purposes. They are not intended to function as complete products or to serve their original purpose.

Sold as is. CIRCULAR GOODS ARE SOLD “AS IS” AND “WITH ALL FAULTS.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES FOR CIRCULAR GOODS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATION THAT ANY CIRCULAR GOOD IS SAFE OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR USE.

Safety-related equipment. Some Circular Goods, such as climbing hardware and other sporting or protective equipment, are designed to protect against injury. Before using any such item, you agree to:

  • Have it inspected by a qualified person;
  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions, inspection guidance, and retirement guidelines;
  • Replace any components the manufacturer recommends replacing, such as slings or straps;
  • Check for manufacturer recalls or safety notices that apply to the item;
  • Retire the item if there is any doubt about its condition.

Assumption of risk. Many activities, including climbing and other sports, are inherently dangerous and can result in serious injury or death, even when equipment is new and used correctly. By purchasing a Circular Good, you acknowledge these risks and voluntarily assume all risks arising from its use by you or by anyone you allow to use it.

Release. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release The Sat Store, its owners, and affiliates from any claims for injury, death, or property damage arising from the use of Circular Goods.

If you pass it on. If you sell, lend, or give a Circular Good to anyone else, you agree to share its condition category, any known limitations, and the terms in this section with them.

Shipping damage and listing errors. If a Circular Good arrives damaged in shipping or differs materially from its listing, please contact us under our Return and Refund Policy.

Where the law differs. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of liability for personal injury. In those jurisdictions, the terms in this section apply only to the extent permitted by law.

11. Payment Finality & Refund Requests

Lightning payments cannot be reversed or disputed once sent. All refund requests must be submitted directly to us at support@satstore.shop and are handled under our Return and Refund Policy, where approved refunds are issued as store credit.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted according to the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Any legal disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Utah.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
