Circular Goods from The Sat Store
Consistent with our mission to help build a circular Bitcoin economy, we're proud to introduce our "Circular Goods" products that are available to purchase with Bitcoin in our online shop.
What are Circular Goods?
Circular goods are those that have been previously owned and then passed on to a new owner. Secondhand marketplaces, like eBay, have been around for decades to connect willing sellers and buyers of these products. Not only that, with recent increases in cost-of-living, consumers are trending more towards frugal spending practices like thrifting given the great value it offers at significantly more affordable prices.
The use and rotation of circular goods is also far better for the environment than traditional retail. Instead of being tossed in a landfill, these goods can be re-used or re-purposed. Not only that, but supplying these goods requires no additional manufacturing, extending the product life cycle, reducing waste, and offsetting the demand for net new products.
Offering circular goods is a natural fit for us here at The Sat Store and was one of the motivating reasons for building our shop. Our company's vision is for Bitcoin to be used universally as a medium of exchange. Circular goods provide us the means to offer our customers the opportunity to purchase highly discounted, quality items with their Bitcoin (an opportunity that is quite rare at the moment). We also recognize the non-monetary benefits that circular goods offer the environment and are proud to showcase how a monetary network like Bitcoin can be a part of that.
The Circular Goods we offer are tagged with one of the following five labels:
- Mint – Brand new and unused.
- Vintage – Pre-owned and at least 20 years old.
- Secondhand – Pre-owned and in good, gently used condition.
- Restored – Cleaned and repaired to like-new condition.
- Salvaged – Recovered parts or materials.
